The NSW Creative Laureate Award will recognise an individual, team or organisation that has demonstrated significant leadership and made a significant contribution to increasing the global profile of NSW Creative Industries.
The NSW Emerging Creative Talent Award will be granted to an individual, team or organisation considered emerging in their sector and where they have demonstrated leadership in originality and innovation, and contributed to raising the global profile of NSW Creative Industries. Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR)
Up to $20,000 for activities that enrich the life of rural and remote communities in the areas of culture and tourism, the arts, history and heritage. Priority given to projects and activities that benefit communities of less than 10,000.
Priority also will be given to projects that have community based/grass roots development, a level of sustainability or direct contribution to the economic fabric of that community, share assets amongst community groups, take a group to the next level of sophistication, preserve community heritage using approved methods and collaborative arts models that are as inclusive as possible. World Heritage Artist in Residence
Blue Mountains Cultural Centre
This program consists of a 6-week artist residency for one artist at Bilpin international ground for Creative initiatives, sponsored by the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, to create a new body of work in response to the World Heritage Area followed by an exhibition at the Blue Mountains City Art Gallery. Creative Arts Fellowship
The Fellowship offers a grant to support creative practitioners and artists to undertake a sustained period of intensive work at the Library, using the rich and varied collections to develop a new art-work or body of work or an artistic concept for future elaboration. The Fellowship is open to established and emerging artists. Artists may be working in such fields as music, dance, theatre, visual arts, emerging, hybrid and experimental art forms.
During their residency Fellows receive: $10,000, which can be used as a stipend for travel support and accommodation or for project expenses, special access to collections and staff expertise, access to office facilities and a personal workstation, and copies of collection materials. Read more

National Stronger Regions Fund
Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development
This programme will provide funding over 5 years, to fund priority infrastructure in regional communities. Grants between $20,000 and $10 million are available for capital projects which involve construction of new infrastructure or enhancement of existing infrastructure. The project must deliver an economic benefit beyond the project and should support disadvantaged regions. Read more

Future2 Make the Difference! Grants
Foundation of Australian Financial Planners
The 2015 Future2 Make the Difference! grants are open to applications from community not-for-profits with programs to support socially and financially disadvantaged young Australians between 12 and 25 years of age.
Applicants may apply for two types of grant:
- a short-term grant of up to $10,000 in one year
- a multi-year grant with total value up to $30,000 over three years

NSW Aboriginal Arts Fellowship
Funds for a NSW Aboriginal artist to undertake a self-directed program of professional development. The Fellowship is valued at $30,000 and might include travel, mentorships, residencies, workshops, research, and the creation of new work.
The Fellowship is open to arts practitioners working in all art forms including collections and cultural heritage, community arts and cultural development, dance, literature, multi art form, music (including opera and musical theatre), theatre (including circus and physical theatre), and visual arts (including craft and design).
The suite of Arts NSW Fellowships is delivered over a four year cycle and not all Fellowships are open for application every year. Read more

Ian Potter Foundation Grants

Small Grants
The funding program will support arts and cultural projects at any stage of their creative development and/or public presentation. They can include projects that support online resources, venue accessibility, adaptation of equipment for specific use in creative expression and other initiatives supporting the creation of artwork.
The Accessible Arts Small Grants Program will support projects that improve social inclusion outcomes for people with disability through increased involvement in arts and cultural activities. The benefits of the funded projects may be realised by the participants in the Scheme as well as other people with disability. Read more

Mentorship Program
Mentorships provide opportunities for emerging and mid-level New South Wales museum and gallery staff to spend two weeks with a state, national or smaller, more specialised organisation.
Up to $3,000 per placement is available and individuals can be hosted at the following organisations: Australian Museum Lifelong Learning Branch, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (National Centre for Creative Learning), or Sydney Living Museums. Volunteer Placements
Volunteer Placements provide volunteers from New South Wales volunteer managed museums and keeping places with the opportunity to spend two weeks with staff and resources of larger or more specialised cultural organisations.

Windmill Trust Scholarship for Regional NSW Artists

Established in 1997 in memory of the artist Penny Meagher, the Windmill Trust Scholarship was born out of a desire to offer support to Australian visual artists living outside metropolitan areas to advance their careers.

Artist-in-Residence
The Artist-in-Residence program at the Bundanon site was initiated in 1993 and is the largest such program in Australia, hosting around 300 artists each year on both Bundanon and Riversdale sites. The properties are Arthur Boyd’s gift to the Australian people, and his vision for Bundanon was to provide an inspirational haven for artists to pursue their practice.
The Bundanon Trust Artist-in-Residence program is open to arts professionals from Australia and overseas, working in all disciplines. This includes artists, writers, performers, producers, directors, composers, curators and educators. Residencies can be for research and development or for the creation of new work. Read more

Quick Response Grants - Aboriginal
As part of the NSW Aboriginal Arts and Cultural Strategy, funding is available throughout the year to help Aboriginal artists, organisations and partnerships explore market development opportunities in the creative industries by attending trade fairs and export markets. Leg Up Grants
Leg Up Grants are quick response skill development grants for workers in volunteer managed museums throughout NSW. These grants fund various skill development projects including hosting or attending workshops, conferences or seminars in NSW, in addition to networking activities.
Previous Leg Up Grants have funded museum volunteers to attend conferences and workshops, and to gain training in areas of museum practice including paper conservation, oral history, disaster preparedness and significance assessment. Read more

Institute for Provocation Residency in China
The Institute for Provocation (IFP) is an artist-run workspace, think tank and project space that supports artistic research across the fields of visual art, architecture and design through residencies, research projects, workshops and lectures. As a workspace, IFP focuses on research practice and critical engagement with process, while cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural interaction provides a unique platform for the facilitation of work by individual artists. New South Wales Artists’ Grant
National Association for the Visual Arts
The NSW Artists’ Grant has been initiated by NAVA to assist professional visual and media arts, craft and design practitioners residing in NSW to produce, present and promote their work throughout Australia and overseas. Funds for the scheme have been made available by Arts NSW specifically to encourage the undertaking of creative and cost-effective initiatives.
This grant provides assistance towards the costs of: production of new creative work, presentation of work in a venue, residencies involving the production of new work/ presentation of new work, production and distribution of an artist’s publication or portfolio, or setting up a website, preparing a publicity campaign. Skills Development Grants
Skills Development Grants provide funding to volunteer museums, museum networks and keeping places for regional or state focused skill development training and networking events.
There are no set categories for funding, and applications for a broad range of projects will be considered.
Skills Development Grants are open to museums and Aboriginal Keeping Places with up to two full time paid staff members (no more than 70 hours of paid staffing per week) as well as museum networks such as Museums Australia Chapters. Read more

Quick Response Grants (QUICKS)
Made available under the Regional Arts Fund allocation for NSW, Quick Response Grants ('Quicks") offer funding of up to $1,500 for regional artists, arts organisations and communities to respond to unique arts opportunities that present themselves at very short notice.
‘Quicks’ are offered on a quarterly basis. There is no deadline for applications, which may be made as required, although applications are processed on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Applicants MUST speak to the Funding Manager at Regional Arts NSW before applying. Decisions will be advised within 5 working days of receipt.. Read more
