Threatened Birds of the Riverina Project: Artists Announcement
The Threatened Birds of the Riverina Project artist selection stage has concluded. Congratulations to the following artists: Jan Lawler, Miranda Brett, Josephine Duffy, Hape Kiddle, Cory McKenzie, Allan McKenzie Snr, Michael Lyons, Sophie Chauncy, Sharon De Valentin, The Spot Gallery Hay, Kerri Weymouth, Samantha Davies, Robyn Davis, Sarah Allen, Bernard Higgins, Jason Richardson, Finley Art Network, Linzie Joanne Nardi and David Booth Ghostpatrol.
The selected artists are completing artworks inspired by the Plains Wanderer, Australasian Bittern, Mallee-Fowl and their habitats. These works will go on to form a travelling exhibition which will tour the Riverina bringing awareness to threatened species conservation and management.
This initiative is supported by South West Arts, Murray Local Land Services, Riverina Local Land Services and Western Riverina Arts.
