Want to swim in the word world but it all seems a bit daunting? How to start? How to finish? This supportive and wide-ranging workshop will inspire and clarify the processes of getting your work out to readers. All those who wish will have a piece published in a leading internet magazine.

Thursday 3rd March 2022 : 6-9pm. Les Wicks Writer Workshop. ”PLAN TO BE PUBLISHED"

You’ve worked hard, those writings of yours deserve a wider audience. This workshop will give you a unique set of strategies for polishing your work and getting it published regardless of whether you are new or developing voice. Les' programs are known for their constructive and friendly orientation. This workshop will have an emphasis on the nuts and bolts of establishing an audience. A key component of the evening will be traditional workshopping where 1 of each participant's pieces are discussed collaboratively should participants so wish. But this won't be all that's covered. Participants will benefit greatly from applying insider's hints on how the poetry scene works. Pieces are examined with a view to finding outlets that fit your style... all in addition to intensive editorial feedback. Everyone who so wishes will have their piece published in an established internet magazine. Experience has shown this approach is highly effective… combining practical insight with an artistic dialogue among peers.

Participants should bring pen, paper & should they so wish 15 copies of one piece (max 30 lines poem. max 1 page prose).
