2018 National Contemporary Jewellery Award - entries open

Entries are now open for the Griffith Regional Art Gallery's biennial National Contemporary Jewellery Award. 

Now in its 30th year the acquisitive award develops the Gallery's National Contemporary Jewellery Collection, the only one of its kind in Australia. Contemporary Jewellers from across Australia are invited to enter, up to two entries per entrant are permitted. Prizes include: 

  • $6000 National Contemporary Jewellery Award (Acquisitive) sponsored by Griffith City Council.
  • $1000 Riverina Area Design Excellence Award, open to artists from the Riverina, sponsored by Griffith City Council.
  • Sturt Artist in Residence Award.

The National Contemporary Jewellery Award exhibition opening and awards night will be held on Friday 10th August from 6pm, this will be a black tie event sponsored by McWilliams Wines.

The exhibition will be on display until Sunday 23rd September and includes the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery's National Emerging Art Glass Prize, an acquisitive, biennial national competition established to promote innovation and excellence in contemporary glass - this will be exhibiting at the same time.
