The Art of Ageing tour to stop in Griffith in 2019
The Art of Ageing is an initiative under the NSW Ageing Strategy 2016-2020 to demonstrate the diversity of older people in NSW. The Art of Ageing is a photographic exhibition that celebrates the value, experience and contribution older people bring, and challenges out-dated perceptions of ageing.
The Art of Ageing exhibition, the second in the series, will feature photographs and stories that celebrate the lives of older people living in regional NSW. It comprises the work of five photographers from Taree, Molong, Mudgee, and Goulburn and Wagga Wagga photographer Tayla Martin. A learner driver, gymnast and ukulele player are among the extraordinary older people who feature in the exhibition.
The 2018 Art of Ageing exhibition artworks, stories and photographer biographies can be viewed online at https://www.facs.nsw.gov.au/about/inclusion/ageing/art-exhibition
The exhibition is now touring across NSW and will be shown at the Griffith City Library, 233 Banna Ave from the 27th May to 21st June 2019.
