Communications Position Available
PROJECTS AND COMMUNCIATIONS OFFICER (Maternity Leave Replacement Position)
Western Riverina Arts is now seeking expressions-of-interest for the part-time (three days per week) position of Projects and Communications Officer. The position will be for six months, commencing August 2017 until January 2018 (specific dates to be negotiated).
The position will be based at the Western Riverina Arts office in Leeton. The officer will also be required to work occasionally across the region for events attendance and documentation, in Narrandera, Griffith, and Murrumbidgee.
DUTIES
The officer works under the direction of the Regional Arts Development Officer (RADO), and the Western Riverina Arts Board and provides support for all programs. Duties include:
· Communications
- Researching and developing regular subscriber email updates
- Maintaining the website and implementing an effective social media strategy
- Producing media releases
- Reviewing and maintaining media contacts
- Representing and advocating the organisation in conjunction with the RADO
- Assisting with the design and preparation of annual reports in consultation with the RADO
- Producing photographic and video documentation of WRA events and projects
· Project Management Support
- Assisting the RADO with the management of projects as required
- Independently managing projects at the direction of the RADO
