Photo Competition - 'Choose Your Own Adventure'
Life is an Adventure and what YOUR adventure looks like depends on the choices you make today. Choices like will you smoke or not?
Murrumbidgee Local Health District, in partnership with Mission Australia and Pathways, will be launching an innovative arts based project on 31 May - World No Tobacco Day.
They are inviting young people aged 12-17 residing in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District to enter a competition called 'Choose Your Own Adventure'. The project aim is to strengthen efforts to prevent the uptake of tobacco smoking among young people. The intent is to trigger thoughts and discussion around the consequences of smoking and the choices we make.
The Competition
If you choose to smoke or choose not to smoke, how will your life be different? They would love to know what you think.
If you’re aged 12 – 17, send 3 images that show
- How you see yourself. Who are you now?
- What will your life look like in 20 years if you choose to smoke? and
- What will your life look like in 20 years if you choose not to smoke?
Use your imagination and go wild. Your images can be of anything - people, places or things but if there are people in your photos, please get their permission first.
Send your 3 images plus your full name, date of birth, postcode and phone number to:
MLHD-CompetitionEntries@health.nsw.gov.au or 0457 526 008. We will let you know when we have received your entry.

Three winners will be chosen - one each from 12-13 year olds, 14-15 year olds and 16-17 year olds. Winners will get to choose their own adventure in Sydney or Melbourne valued at over $1000 including travel and accommodation for two.
