Printmaking Masterclass with Tony Ameneiro
Tony Ameneiro is an artist and educator with his main focus on drawing and printmaking. He studied at the Alexander Mackie College of Advanced Education now COFA. Tony pays great attention to detail and likes to overlap ideas and images working with colour multi plate printing for example his botanical human heads.
This Masterclass workshop by Tony Ameneiro will look at both the monotype and the drypoint printmaking processes using lightweight and affordable plastic sheets materials. There will also be a focus on the combination of processes with an aim to develop unique state prints.
Tony was a winner of the Fremantle Print Award in 2007 and a finalist in the Dobell Prize three times. His work is represented in many major collections including the National Gallery of Australia and the Art Galleries of New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia. Illustrated essays, articles and reviews on his work have been published in Newspapers and Art Magazines. He is a regular artist in residence at the Art Vault Mildura.
