Get Started! Artist 101 Workshop, Q&A & Networking Event
Western Riverina Arts will be holding a FREE workshop and networking event at the Leeton Museum and Gallery, from 10am to 1.30pm on Saturday the 4th March. We are joined by Raymond Wholohan who will be sharing all his wisdom from the professional arts sector! Registration essential.
Have you got the creative side sorted but are now looking to take the next step in your artistic career? Are you wondering how artists get chosen for gallery exhibitions or are unsure what to include in an artist statement, CV or label?… if you answered yes then this workshop is for you!
In this interactive workshop you will learn: how to getting started as an artist with fundamentals, tips and tricks, how to approach art galleries and secure exhibition opportunities and you will also gain perspectives on the roles of gallery professionals. Participants are encouraged to ask all their burning questions about arts and careers in a professional or gallery context.
This is a great chance to network with like-minded creative individuals, share experiences, and meet people interested in regional arts.

Raymond Wholohan
Raymond Wholohan has been working in the art gallery and museums sector since 2004. He has worked for the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, Charles Sturt University Art Collection and The Australia War Memorial. Since 2015, Ray has been the Coordinator of the Griffith Regional Art Gallery. Ray holds both undergraduates and postgraduate qualifications Fine Art and Art History.
