Murrumbidgee Short Story Competition 2022
Following the success of the inaugural competition, the Murrumbidgee Short Story Competition is back in 2022 with an even BIGGER prize pool!
Western Riverina Arts in association with Narrandera Arts and Creative Network, Leeton Art Society Inc and Griffith and Regional Association of the Performing Arts are providing an opportunity to inspire people to be creative through the 'Murrumbidgee Short Story Competition'. This competition is FREE to enter and is for all ages!
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a resident in one of the four Western Riverina Arts membership Local Government Areas of Griffith, Leeton, Narrandera or Murrumbidgee.
Max of two (2) entries per person.
The short story must be an original work which has not been previously published elsewhere such as in blogs, magazines, books or websites.
The short story must not have been previously entered into this competition.
Entry Requirements:
· Entries open Monday 22nd August 2022.
· Entries must be submitted before midnight Sunday 9th October 2022 via email.
· No entry fees.
· Subject matter is open.
· Fiction or Non-Fiction accepted.
· Entries to be submitted in Times New Roman and double spaced.
· Entries to be emailed to Camille at comms@westrivarts.com.au along with
the following information

The winners will be announced in November after they have undergone a blind judging process with the panel. Winning entries will be featured in upcoming Western Riverina Arts newsletters and published on our website. First Place Winners and Highly Commended writers will all receive digital certificates.
