Expressions of Interest are now open for several large scale mural projects.
Murrumbidgee Shire are currently calling for Expressions of Interest from experienced artists for the concept development, design and production of three exciting public art projects.
1. Jerilderie Swimming Pool - produce a mural for a concrete wall measuring 24 m wide x 3 m high. The mural can be painted directly onto the wall or the artwork be provided on a suitable medium for reproduction as a ‘semi-permanent’ work for the wall.
2. Darlington Point Wiradjuri Walk – Mural: create an eye catching and visually arresting painted mural which, upon completion, can be scanned, expanded and wrapped onto a metal structure approximately 7 m long x 4.5 m high. It will be located in the vicinity of Figtree Park, Darlington Point.
3. Darlington Point Wiradjuri Walk - Painting: create a painting based around a locally historical theme with an interesting story that can be scanned and wrapped on an interpretative sign to be erected on the levee above Figtree Park. The associated story shall be communicated adjacent to the painting.
Eligible artists or organisations are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest by email to mail@murrumbidgee.nsw.gov.au before 3.00 pm Friday 13 November 2020.
