Chiltern Art Prize - Call for entries
The 2018 Chiltern Art Prize will be the 16th annual art show held in Chiltern, North East Victoria, June 8 - 11, 2018 and is open to all Australian artists. There will be a total prize pool of $3500.
ntries are now open in the following categories:
Section A Two Dimensional Works. Prize $500
May include, but not limited to: Painting (any medium, any subject) Works on paper (any medium, any subject). All works must be framed and wired securely for hanging. Unframed canvas stretchers are acceptable.
Works must not exceed 1.5 m x 1.5m or weigh over 15kgs.
Section B Three Dimensional Works. Prize $500
May include but not limited to: Textiles, ceramics, metalwork or woodwork, stone, carvings or clay sculpting, jewellery and/or wearable art. Works must be assembled and ready for display with stands or plinths to be supplied by the exhibitor where necessary.
Section C Photography. Prize $500
Digital or traditional photographic methods are acceptable. Works must be framed and securely wired for hanging. Works must not exceed 1.5m x 1.5m or weigh over 15kg (including frames).
Section D Emerging Artist. Prize $500
Artists may present up to three (3) individual works only, any style, any medium. Artists must be under 25 years of age as of Friday 8th June 2018.
The Chiltern Art Prize of $1500 will be awarded to the most outstanding work on display. All works are eligible for this prize.
Entry fee is $10 per artwork, $5 for the Emerging Artist category.
The Chiltern Art Prize is held at the Chiltern War Memorial Hall over the Queen's birthday long weekend in June. In 2018 the exhibition will run from Friday 8th June to Monday 11th June (10am - 2pm on Fri, 10am - 4pm Sat - Mon) with the official opening starting at 6.30pm Friday June 8th.
