Griffith Writers Competition

Griffith Writers Competition

The Griffith Riverina Fellowship of Australian Writers has launched a writing competition to engage local creative writers and poets and encourage them to produce original material.

Categories include short stories of up to 2000 words and poems, with the sections judged in three groups: Primary years K-6, secondary years 7-12 and open.

The Griffith Riverina Federation of Australian Writers is a recently established group and is hoping this competition will kick-start new interest from within the MIA to join the group.

Entries for the competition close on Thursday 31st May 2018, for more information on the entry requirements call secretary Caroline Tuohey on 0428 675 743.

The group meets on the last Thursday of every month at the Multicultural Councils offices in Memorial Park.

Anyone interested in joining the group can contact Ms Marilyn Sayer on 0488 444 951 or email mazysayer@icloud.com for further information.
