near & Far

Near & Far: Yearning / Community / Connection was the September instalment of Western Riverina Art’s program ‘Activating Narrandera Arts’, held at the Narrandera Arts and Community.

Western Sydney-based curator Ebony Secombe has been working with artists from her own community to create this exhibition, and Near & Far: Yearning / Community / Connection provided a sampler of work by artists from diverse practices and backgrounds across Western Sydney. Artists such as Linda Brescia, Hedar Abbas Abadi and Shivanjani Lal reflect on personal experiences in regards to what it means for them to exist within and on the peripherals of communities in Western Sydney through the selection and presentation of new and old works.
