Artists in schools

In March 2015 Western Riverina Arts presented an evening of guest speakers at the Leeton Multipurpose Community Centre. The theme was Artists in Schools. All speakers gave short and engaging ‘petrol kulture’ style presentations (a quick talk accompanied by images) discussing different arts projects they have managed in schools. 

Heading the line-up was noted Australian artist Jason Wing, who was at the time in Leeton, developing a new mural work with the students at Leeton High School. He was joined by local artists and arts workers, Sarah McEwan, Melanie Baulch, Louise Cooper, and Renee de Saxe, who have also undertaken different schools-based arts projects:
