The outcomes were far greater than first imagined – we were so excited to see how seriously this competition was received across the Riverina, how important it was to foster local writers, how far it spread, and how it had impact to provide an avenue for creativity and expression.
Thank you to Narrandera Arts and Creative Network (NACNet) for partnering with us to provide this opportunity. We would like to give a special thanks to our judging panel, who brought their expertise and insight and contributed their time to the blind judging process. Our Judges:
Sue Killham: Chair Western Riverina Arts, Committee Member Narrandera Arts and Creative Network, Narrandera Shire Council Library Manager.
Sarah Tiffen: Founder Leeton Writers' Collective and Riverina Writing House. Author of five volumes of poetry - Learning Country, Mythica, The Light Breaks Open, The Dark Heart and Soldier Boy and The Rural Fundamentalists.
Jane Carter: Author of Prodigal Daughter, A Dream of Something More and High Country Secrets.
Hilary Manning: Founding member of Narrandera Writers’ Group.
